Christmas 20/10

This past Sunday, I announced some hints concerning what is to come with our December focus on generosity in our study series as well as our lives at The Shepherd’s Fellowship. While all the details have not been revealed, there is one key element that I want to make sure everyone has plenty of time to work on.

If you are taking part of the generosity experiment, you will need some financial resources for one of the exercises. You will need $20 per adult/ youth and $10 per child (not including the babies). For some, this is an easy task but for others, this could be quite the challenge. For this reason, I want to give everyone a month’s notice so we have time for each person to save these funds up.

If you can not afford to put together these funds, we have scholarships available so all you have to do is touch base with me. That said, please know you are going to get so much more out of this experience if you save up the funds than you will if you take a scholarship or even if you have the monies easily so don’t be afraid to make a sacrifice or two to get there. (Reminder: This is not money going to the church so this is not your tithe or offerings, this is sacrificial giving to help others.
Again, more information is to come but I want to keep this in the forefront of our minds as we get ready for this Christmas! Touch base if you have any questions. Blessings!

That said, there is one side note that I have been exploring but just now am I at a point of really exploring it out here after hearing from different people and their views.

As Christians, I believe and encourage we vote from our Christian beliefs. I love the dedication to protecting “Christian values”. I love that people are passionate about our beliefs and political system. If you are voting for any candidate because you feel they support your Christian values, that is great.
