The third in this series….

“While we continue to trip through different blocks that keep us from experiencing the fullness of Christ in our lives, this podcast we dig into His purpose. What is His purpose for creating us? His purpose in loving you? What is our purpose in this world?

If you have been struggling and it seems like you just can’t move forward or find your place, this might be a great one to hit.”

Well, it is pastor’s appreciation month again when all pastor’s secretly hope their congregation will remember them in some way to encourage them. My church has always done a pretty good job at remembering this month and it’s always appreciated. Last year, some gift cards and a surprise moment of honor was heart felt and went a long way. If you do not do a little something for you pastor at your church, I recommend you change that. It goes a long way.

At the same time, I felt led to post some things beyond gift cards that would help your pastor all year long. On top of that, they are Biblical and honor God too! This will make a HUGE difference if you really want to be an encourager and faithful.

Are you feeling overwhelmed? Things not going the way you thought they would? Wondering if you took a wrong turn someplace? Wondering if anyone even appreciates you?

What gauge are you using for you worth, direction, and happiness? There are many to choose but only one leads to maturity, peace, and power that can sustain you.  This is the focus of this study of John the Baptist as we look at the first area that blocks us from experiencing the fullness of Christ in our lives.

The Shepherd’s Fellowship is now doing a 1/2 hour radio program on Sunday mornings at 8:30am on two different radio stations called “The Water’s Edge”.

The first one is 97.5 WDCM which has coverage in the Marion county area that focuses on community service and talk programing.

The second one is 95.1 WVXG which covers seven counties including Marion, plays oldies and classic rock, and has great listenership.

The appeal to us is to bring the Word to secular stations as an outreach in our communities. We will be doing this for a six month trial and then making a decision then if we continue.

While we were not seeking to do a radio show, things happened in such a way that we believe it’s undeniable that God is leading us to try this. We have a lot to work out as far as how all this is going to work out but we’re excited about this challenge and opportunity.

One challenge is having the finances to cover the cost of the show and this is the reason for this post. While more information will be coming out about the show, we want to open the doors to start talking to potential sponsors.

While some are already looking at donating to the show at various amounts, the following is a sponsorship program that individuals, families, and/or businesses can tap into.

Basic – $35 a month – You get your name mentioned (address and phone number if you are a business) on all the episodes that month and listed as a sponsor on the radio page.

Advance – $70 a month – You get a 30 sec spot on each of our shows that month (total 8-10 spots) to advertise your buisness and listed as a sponsor on the radio page! Since one of these stations is a non-profit, the commercial spot has the same restrictions as spots on a non-profit on what can and can’t be promoted.

Supreme – $140 a month – You get a 60 sec spot on each of our shows that month (total 8-10 spots) to advertise your buisness and listed as a sponsor on the radio page! Since one of these stations is a non-profit, the commercial spot has the same restrictions as spots on a non-profit on what can and can’t be promoted.

If you would like to talk more about being a sponsor or just want to make a donation to help get the gospel out on the air in the Marion area, touch base with me by commenting below or calling 740-382-3500.

If you work for a company that might be of interest of sponsoring, please make them aware of this opportunity.

(The Shepherd’s Fellowship reserves the right to not accept sponsors that due to our beliefs, we could not support in partnership)

As Pastor Tom comes back from a church leadership event called Catalyst, he shares a key area that the Spirit is leading all of us to dive into that is more important than any teaching he could give on his own.

Listen in as we explore an invitation that serves as the starting block for a new season and series correctly called “Experiencing Jesus”.

Sadly, those who need to hear this the most will probably not view it. There’s just something about being stuck in pride that makes us think we are fine, it’s everyone else who is the problem. However, we all need to take a moment from time to time and do a self check.

One of the biggest killers of relationships, opportunities, and church communities is pride. It is far too easy to self justify our personal motives and agendas but be led into brokenness and division.

Jesus lived a life that was humble yet powerful. He was the perfect example of how to keep pride from destroying our lives, fellowship, and ministries. Take some time to dig in as Brent leads us through a time of personal testimony and Scriptural lessons to address this topic that keeps so many in bondage.
