The Christmas season used to be a time where generosity was celebrated and flowed like no other time of the year. However, with mounting anxiety, financial needs, and get togethers; we can find ourselves being a little more understanding of Ol’ Ebenezer Scrooge. Instead of being generous, we tend to horde our time, finances, and relationships to get through the holidays instead of sharing from the greatest gift ever given… Christ. In this first study on generosity, we will look at the Biblical understanding of generosity with our finances. ““Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” Luke 2: 10-12
