When Jesus was speaking about John the Baptist, He said “I tell you, among those born of women none is greater than John.” (Luke 7:28)

What made John the Baptist so special? Is it simply some extra blessing that God put upon on Him or is it a life that you and I can choose ourselves today? Could it be possible that his choices and outlook are something we can adopt that can lead us to a greater way of living full of purpose and passion?

As we enter week two of our study in the gospel of John, we explore these questions as well as learn more about Jesus Himself …. the LIGHT and LIFE we desire.

As we finish up a three week focus on partaking in our life’s mission of the Great Commission, we dive into one of the strongest tools we have to share hope with others… our stories.

We do believe in Jesus Christ simply because we were told to but because we have experienced Him as well. Testimony after testimony of how hope, power and peace through Christ have made a difference in our lives. Testimonies that serve as proof of how hope is real and can change your life as well!

For some of us, we are in the middle of building a testimony right now. We have come to places in our lives where we know we need Jesus to move but fear letting go or have other blocks in our way. Come be encouraged on what to do in those moments today to bring a testimony of change tomorrow!

As we continue to look at living a life on mission (the Great Commission), we look at a key time that Jesus sent a group of people out into the world. As we look at His heart and instructions, there is a great deal to learn that apply to our life today.

Many of us have people in our lives who do not know the Lord that are on our hearts. If we don’t, we should. Join us as we explore what we can put into place starting now to be the light in the lives of those around us.

What we often times look at as something scary or just about the future has a lot to say about our here and now. We pray you will be part of this time with us as we explore truths that are right in front of us that we can grasp, adopt, and live that take this life beyond the daily grind.

Well, things are about to get very interesting…

At The Shepherd’s Fellowship, we have been praying 5 prayers together….

– God would grow our church physically
– God would grow our ministry resources
– God would grow our spiritual depth
– God would grow our impact in our community and the world
– God would do all of this according to His will and to His glory

As we move in faith to receive the fulfillment of His dreams for our local church body in this next season, we do so by letting the Holy Spirit lay challenges on our own hearts of how He wants to use us and grow us as members of the Body of Christ.

This week, we will be focusing on the first prayer and how God calls us to impact the world around us. We pray you join us as we know God is leading us to new freedom, purpose and callings in our lives as individuals and church and would love you to be a part of this!

We have talked a lot in this study series about responsibility, mission and calling. However, there is more than just a task at hand that has it’s ups and downs in the days of our lives; there’s hope!

With a study through Acts 5, we dissect the testimony of persecution against the apostles as they “mobilize” for the gospel and how hope changes everything!

If you are going through some tough times, taken some hits for following Christ, or just lost the joy of following the Lord in this world due to circumstances… it’s time to refocus on the promise of hope!

As we continue our look at being mobilized in the mission God has called you, we all agree that everything we have addressed quickly gets undercut when we act differently than the way we say we believe. People have seen enough hypocrites and it takes time to earn that trust back.

However, is it just acting “right” when people are looking or does it go much deeper? What does is look like to be a good steward so someday we hear “Well done, good and faithful one”?

In this study, we dive into the Word for encouragement and a warning in the area of being “Principled”. There is a difference between calling yourself a Christian and being a Christ follower. It impacts every area of your life.
