As we wrap up the “Mountains” series, we come to talk about the key that moves us from fear of the struggles in this life to enjoying the freedom of Christ!
Each step of the way, we explored the Bible for key points and advice of how to move forward into freedom. However, for many of us, we continue to struggle in the same cycles as before. This is because there is one core truth that opens the door to moving forward that mere “best efforts” for change fall short.
Join us this week as we explore that truth that makes all the difference.

Obedience is not a popular topic for most. This is especially true for some who have seen the concept used in corrupt ways within church environments to control and to hurt others.

However, James seems to view this topic in a different light. He holds that if we view obedience the way God does, it’s life giving! It’s freedom! It’s foundational!

The world has had enough of “religion” and hypocrites, James agrees. However, he does more than sit back and complain about it. He offers us a handful of three tier plans to fix the problem in the world, in the church, and in ourselves.

Well, here’s some random thoughts from this past week’s message that I keep running back to and thought I’d share them with you. We are going through a series we’re calling “WWJS”. What would Jesus say to us as a church and as Christians by looking at his teachings mostly in the book of Matthew.

Now this week we were talking about submission and something interesting jumped out at me. Jesus would have made himself a fine ministry with thousands of followers if He just dropped the submission thing.
