This is a book on theology and apologetics. If you are a Christian and have never understood or have been intimidated by such things, this is a great book for you. “Beyond Opinion” is not an easy read but it is also not a hard read.
Ravi Zacharias has collected writings from different contributors on topics ranging from challenges to the faith, conversational apologetics, post modernism and more in an “every man’s” type dialogue. For those who want to dig into deeper issues of the faith including how we live in the culture around us without going to seminary or reading Greek and Hebrew….. you will find this book assessable.
I think one concept that I think the book as a whole will challenge the reader to consider is the very thing the title suggests. If you are Christian, is your faith just an opinion you hold or is it more? When the world comes knocking to interact with us, are we happy to just make peace with everyone else or do our beliefs impact us in such a way that we are talking and living something we know, not just think.
I really liked this book. In most cases, I breeze read books for content and dig in deeper when I see something I’m interested in. This is one I want to read one chapter a day and really take in.
I received this book from Thomas Nelson through Booksneeze.com for free in exchange for an honest review. My review? Great book… get it and dive in!
